This road ride starts from our cafe and store in Lilliput, Poole. Rolls through town towards Upton and Lytchett Minster onto the Isle of Purbeck. Once you pass through the historic walled market town of Wareham, with its quayside and across the River Frome you begin to climb up and over the ridge tackling the zig zag climb locally known as Alpe d'Huez.
After this the route leads onto country lanes and back roads before the majestic sight of the ruins of Corfe Castle perched upon the hill in a gap in the Purbeck Hills. The Village of Corfe Castle is a quaint village, you will pass under the railway arch and before tackling the undulating New Road.
This road tops out at a view point perfect on a clear day to capture vistas of Poole Harbour to the South and even out to the East, across the bay to The Needles on the Isle of Wight.
Descending down through the Village of Studland and its beaches you head down the Ferry road to catch the unique ferry back to the Sandbanks peninsula, past the luxury house of 'Millionaires Row' around, hugging the waterside back to the cafe and shop here at Rockets and Rascals.
