Me and Deano made the 7 hour drive on Friday to the 2017 Ard Rock Enduro Festival up in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
This event has gone from strength to strength and the sea of tents we saw as we crested the hill was an unbelievable! sight, something I've not seen at a bike event since the good old days of the Malvern Classic! Running over 3 days with a whole host of bike brands to check out and a great demo loop to check out some of the bikes on offer.
We entered the Enduro sport event which allowed us to ride as a group of mates at our own pace, you could even stop at a pub half way! we kept trucking! Its a 45km loop up and down some massive hills and then you complete 6 timed descents, least time wins. The stages are a mix of steep rocky shoots, off camber turns and fast flat out grassy turns. plenty to get the adrenaline pumping.
If you fancy a challenge or even a cracking weekend in a beautiful part of the world I can highly recommend it. Its a real family affair too, plenty to do and see even if your not riding, along with food stalls and live music most of the day.
